Art Hartsfeld was my mother's uncle by marriage. The woman in the picture with Art is his wife, my Great Aunt Sophie. My mother has a picture of her as a young girl sitting on Art's race car with her arms around his neck. She used to travel with Sophie and Art to races when she wasn't in school. She has many fond memories of those days and always mentions what a wonderful guy Art was. My mom will be thrilled to read your post about him! Thanks!!!
