Great memories, Al. I recall as a nine year-old walking over to the Speedway with my parents that morning from my aunt & uncle's house a couple of blocks from Georgetown Road and we sat in the E stand Penthouse looking down on turn 1. Ronnie Duman was a big family favorite, as his kids went to school with my cousins in Speedway, and my parents were friends of the Agajanian family.

The STP turbine sure stole the show that day, although it wasn't the fastest car- the silence as it rolled by was extraordinary. I was mostly fascinated by the brake flap, however. Innovation truly ruled back then.
